This session addresses the need for a practical, critical approach to AI use to help support university instructors and students. Participants will consider different critical perspectives on the use of AI in education with a goal of developing a basic framework for determining informed use/non-use of AI in support of student learning. Participants will leave the session better equipped to determine the pros and cons of using AI in their own teaching and learning contexts.
