Loretta Early has served Higher Education for more than 30 years in a variety of executive IT leadership roles at liberal arts, and large public and private Carnegie R1 institutions, including William and Mary, The University of Oklahoma, and The George Washington University. Many of her OU Women IT Leaders were instrumental in starting up the Oklahoma Women in Technology organization bringing together higher education, public and private sector IT professionals in Oklahoma.
Loretta has served as a National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Grants panel reviewer and held positions on numerous advisory boards and councils for technology solution providers such as Adobe, Apple, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft, and Ellucian.
Other leadership achievements include Best Places to Work in IT, InformationWeek 500 Top 50 Business Agility Award, InformationWeek Top 5 Higher Education CIOs, eMerge Americas Top Prize in Global Startup Competition, and IDC Smart Cities North America Awards Finalist.
Loretta currently serves as an Executive Counselor for Info-Tech Research Group, an international IT research and advisory company. She works with CIOs in the Education sector in the US, Canada, South Africa, and Australia, coaching them on how to lead organizational transformation and to establish IT’s strategic role and contribution as a trusted advisor in optimizing value, increasing agility and resiliency, mitigating risks, and advancing the mission-driven aspirations and growth of the organization.
