Angela Long is the Founder and CEO of Rockcress Consulting, an Oregon-based small business specializing in clean energy consulting. With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, Angela is a seasoned leader in strategic planning, program development, and implementation for distributed energy resources (DERs), electrification, virtual power plants (VPPs), resilience, and grid modernization.
Before founding Rockcress, Angela held leadership roles at Portland General Electric (PGE) and PacifiCorp, where she led groundbreaking initiatives in distribution system planning, DER integration, energy equity, and grid resiliency. At PGE, she was instrumental in developing the utility’s first Distribution System Plan—a foundational roadmap to equitably modernize the grid—and played a pivotal role in crafting the utility’s inaugural Clean Energy Plan, setting a target of 80% decarbonization by 2030.
Angela’s leadership has yielded award-winning DER models, innovative non-wires solutions (NWS), and regionally recognized tools and strategies for accelerating the clean energy transition.
