From survey to operational scheduling: improving planning efficiency on the path to automation

Mine operations can achieve substantial efficiency improvements through effective mine planning. By providing seamless data transfers from survey to operational scheduling, data management solutions can assist in the automation of tasks and improve efficiency in the mine planning process. This presentation will cover how integrated systems and centralized workflows are instrumental to any mine’s digital transformation journey.

Mine Re-Entry: Reducing risk with mobile LiDAR technology

With new green fields deposits being harder to find many companies look to historic mining areas. Mines that closed more than 20 years ago can have limited electronic detail in their void model. Through the use of mobile LiDAR technology, a level of information can be obtained that exceeds that of many modern mines. Using multiple data capture methods including drone mounted, driven, winched and handheld, a clearer picture of voids that may be over 100 years old can be obtained.

Enabling the Digital Mine of the Future
through autonomous technology

Data capture in the mining industry has been exponentially evolving over the last 10 years. We are capturing data at an increased resolution and accuracy. Rich information can be at ever-shorter intervals of time, enabling live modelling and dynamic planning that is continuously adapting to achieve business objectives. Automating the process to capture spatial data not only reduces the risk and workload for personnel, it also enables increased consistency, speed, and frequency.
This presentation will provide insight into how autonomous data capture technology could fundamentally change the way mines are planned and operated - imagining a digital mine of the future that could be fully mapped in a day and monitored in real-time.
