Otome Peter Afiegbe is an energy executive with nearly two decades of experience spanning upstream oil and gas, gas monetization, and sustainability strategy across African energy markets. He serves as Executive Director at Nesgas Producing Limited and holds other advisory roles across the oil and gas industry. Alongside these roles, he holds senior advisory positions across a network of Nigerian energy ventures spanning upstream production, midstream infrastructure, and investment advisory, giving him a rare vantage point across the full energy value chain. His career includes roles at Shell SPDC, Baker Hughes and Gaffney Cline, and Aradel Holdings, before moving into executive and advisory leadership. His recent work bridges the technical and sustainability sides of the industry, from delivering ESG and emissions transition strategy for indigenous operators, to structuring gas monetization transactions with development finance institutions such as Afreximbank, to supporting energy operators on their transformation program across gas commercialization workstreams. He has moderated senior industry panels, most recently the Finance and Capital Panel at SPE OLEF 2026, bringing together C-suite leaders from Afreximbank, Seplat, NNPC, and Aradel to discuss capital access and energy financing in Africa. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Lagos and a postgraduate qualification in data science and is a certified project management and ESG professional.
