John Atasie is a Managing Partner of a supply chain consulting firm and Past President of ISM Houston Inc. with more than 20 years of experience leading global business transformation initiatives and complex projects across multiple industries. He is a seasoned global supply management professional in the energy sector with expertise in procurement, contracting, strategic sourcing, category management, spend optimization, supplier relationship management, and global supply chain operations.
Throughout his career, John has partnered with Fortune 500 organizations worldwide, helping drive operational excellence, cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and long-term business value. He also brings a diverse professional background spanning life insurance underwriting, claims management, new product development, risk analysis, and banking operations, providing a uniquely versatile perspective to solving complex business challenges.
John served as the 104th President of the Institute for Supply Management – Houston during the 2024–2025 program year, leading the chapter to record-breaking achievements, including 15% overall membership growth, 23% corporate membership growth, 35% revenue growth, 112% sponsorship attainment, and more than $17,000 raised for charitable causes. In May 2025, he was appointed by the Institute for Supply Management to its Leadership Committee, where he currently supports the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management Committee.
