Thomas Damsgaard has had an exciting +30years shipping career. He trained with Armada Shipping, and earned his stripes in a succession of increasingly challenging roles within general and senior management for market leaders including the Clipper Group, Spliethoff Group, SAL and Scan-Trans.
Damsgaard served as President and Global Operations Director of Scan-Trans and established Spliethoff Americas, where he served as Vice President. He acted as Director and President at Inchcape Shipping & Marine Services, the world’s leading marine services and port agency company, where he was responsible for leading the operation Teams in North America, Central America and the Caribbean through a turn around.
Damsgaard acts as an executive advisor on M&A activities, leadership, strategy and optimization within global maritime, logistics and PE organizations.
An active member of the Houston community, he fills leading roles on boards including for the Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association, Advisory Board at University of Houston. He started and leads a non-for profit maritime scholarship fundraiser.
Damsgaard is a graduate from the “Blue MBA” in maritime and logistics at Copenhagen Business School and acts as the program’s ambassador in North America.
