Brandee Fernandez is a Director of Sourcing Sustainability at Baker Hughes and recently earned her Doctorate from the University of Houston, where her research focused on supplier emissions engagement and transparency.
She brings diverse, cross-industry experience spanning aerospace, marine manufacturing and propulsion, oil and gas, and construction and tooling. This broad background has shaped her expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management, procurement, inventory optimization, supplier quality, and organizational leadership. Throughout her career, Brandee has led high-performing teams, strengthened supplier relationships, and driven operational excellence across complex, global supply chains.
In her current role, Brandee leads initiatives to advance Scope 3 Category 1 emissions strategies, partnering with suppliers to improve data transparency and performance. She also leverages multi-tier risk management tools to proactively identify and mitigate potential disruptions across the value chain and furthering AI capabilities for improved efficiencies.
Beyond her professional work, Brandee is a mom and bonus mom to 6 amazing children and grandparent to 12 children. She is passionate about mentoring and community engagement. She actively supports individuals at all stages of their careers in turning aspirations into actionable goals. In her personal time, she enjoys photography, travel, reading, fitness, and continuous learning, as well as volunteering with local schools and community organizations.
