Filip Vandenbussche was named Port Representative North America in 2015 and is based in Houston. He joined the Port of Antwerp after an international career in business development for technology companies and as representative for the Flemish Government (Belgium) in the USA.
Vandenbussche started his career in Silicon Valley, Ca. He holds a computer science degree and calls Houston home since 1998.
In his position, he is responsible for Port of Antwerp’s trade development, marketing, representation and collaboration with transatlantic supply chain partners and sister Ports in the US and Canada.
He maintains a strong focus on how the Port of Antwerp prepares for sustainable growth requiring steady fluidity and connectivity with the hinterland intermodal connections.
He is a strong advocate of Port partnerships, innovation, data sharing/collaboration solutions for the supply chain, improving the efficiency and end to end transparency.
