Muge Wood is the Director for the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Houston. MTCs are collaborative environments that provide access to innovative technologies and world-class expertise, enabling our customers to envision, design, and deploy solutions that meet their exact needs. Houston MTC is Microsoft’s first Cloud-based MTC that also operates as an Oil & Gas Industry Hub. Muge and her team of architects aim to inspire our customers to transform their businesses by leveraging the Microsoft platform and our partner ecosystem.
Since joining Microsoft in 2004, Muge has served as Business Productivity Advisor to Oil & Gas majors, managed the Application Platform Business for customers in TX, OK, AR, LA and led the US Dynamics Architect Team to help our partners build line of business applications. She is recognized for her passion to build and lead high performing technical teams.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Muge has worked at Accenture for 10 years leading business transformation projects for large organizations in the energy and chemicals industry. These projects included systems integration following mergers & acquisitions, customer segmentation for tailored service strategies and establishing new commerce channels.
She received her MBA from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.
Muge, her husband Brad & sons Matthew (18) and Michael (17) reside in Houston. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, reading, working out, traveling around the world, and volunteering at her kids’ school. She also supports several professional associations including Women’s Energy Network of Houston, Petroleum Data Management Association and Greater Houston Partnership.
