Didier has a Master degree in Industrial Science and a Master aggregate in Environmental Science and Technology. He started his career at the Antwerp Port Authority in 2000 as a Business Manager Concessions, in 2007 he became a Senior Consultant Asset management. Today Didier is working as Program Manager Sustainable Energy where he focusses on implementing and streamlining an Energy Policy for the Port of Antwerp. He led several projects in this function: lead power-to-molecules feasibility analysis, creation of waste heat and the start-up of 7P Power-to-Methanol investment. Today Didier his focus is on the increasing role of hydrogen within the energy transition. Especially in the highly industrialized and densely populated region of Belgium-Netherlands-North-Rhine Westphalia, importing green hydrogen-carriers from regions with high wind and sun profiles, provides a means of introducing renewable energy to an extent which is not possible by local energy production.
