Tom Reynolds is the Senior Director of Business Development for Unmanned Systems at Huntington Ingalls Industries leading the company’s strategy for Unmanned Underwater, Surface, Ground and Air systems. Prior to HII he was the Vice President of Business Develop and Strategy for Hydroid Inc where he worked for 8 years prior to Hydroid’s acquisition by HII. He is a retired US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer and veteran of six Operation Iraqi Freedom deployments and several other combat deployments and operations globally.
His wartime experience includes planning and leading the 1st combat operations involving Unmanned Underwater Vehicles during the invasion of Iraq and leading other UUV operations in the Arabian Sea. He was the first Operations Officer of the Counter IED Task Force in Iraq and has also served as the EOD Branch Chief of Joint Special Operations Command. His command experience includes being the Commanding Officer of Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit TWO and being forward deployed as the Commander of the EOD and Diving Task Group and the Commander and the Underwater Mine Countermeasures Task Unit in 5th Fleet.
Tom is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, US Army Command and General Staff College, Joint Forces Staff College, holds an MBA from Benedictine College and the first American to graduate from the Republic of Singapore, Naval Advance School.
Tom serves on the Board of Directors of Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International and the Yellow Ribbon Fund and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Naval Submarine League.
