Marco Poisler is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston’s College of Technology Supply Chain & Logistics Program. He is also a member of the UTC Overseas Global Executive Management Team and Board of Directors. Poisler has played an integral role in UTC’s establishment of strategic Global Energy & Capital Project offices around the world supporting a global supply chain. UTC Overseas specializes in designing tailored transport strategies for over-dimensional, over-weight, and specialized equipment.
Born and raised in Jersey City and in a family passionate about transportation, Poisler went on to study economics at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and holds a Masters in Transportation at SUNY Maritime. Currently, Marco serves on the board of the Houston Maritime Museum, the industry advisory board for the Supply Chain & Logistics Technology program, the conference content advisory board for Breakbulk Americas and served as the past Chair of the Exporters Competitive Maritime Council (http://ecmc.info/). Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and a working knowledge of Ukrainian, his background has informed and inspired his passion for global logistics and earned him a reputation as a go-to commentator for both global media outlets and industry conferences.
