Andy Steinhubl serves as Vice Chair/Chair-elect of the Board for the Center for Houston’s Future (CFH), and on the Executive Committee. He has led several CFH projects on sustaining Houston’s economic outperformance, and on Houston’s leadership role in the Energy Transition. He currently serves as an instructor for the University of Houston’s inaugural hydrogen class, and as a Senior Advisor to restructuring and consulting firm Alvarez and Marsal on the Energy Transition.
Andy has over 35 years of energy industry and consulting experience, most recently serving as an Independent Director of FlexGen Power Systems (FPS), a leading Battery Energy Storage System provider, where he also formerly served as Interim CEO and Chief Strategy Officer. Previously, he formed and led KPMG’s U.S. Energy and Chemicals strategy consulting group. Earlier consulting career roles included serving as the Houston office managing partner and in various North American and global energy sector leadership roles at Booz & Company, and as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company where he spent 17 years serving clients across the energy value chain. He began his career at ExxonMobil as a Production Operations Engineer.
Andy earned a BS in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
