Dr. Mark Norman is a Telops Field Applications Engineer based near Boston, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, he has worked in the area of detection and identification of hazardous chemicals for civilian and military emergency response agencies. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he is a subject matter expert in a variety of field-based technologies including FTIR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. In his current role, Dr. Norman provides technical support to customers utilizing Telops’ hyperspectral and broadband infrared imaging cameras for a range of applications including fluid dynamics, methane detection, combustion analysis, and fire research.
