Jorge has led EnviroCentre’s Future Homes, Better Homes Ottawa, Energy Advisor Training and Retrofit Accelerator initiatives for the last three years. He has in-depth experience delivering large-scale data collection projects to advance sustainability initiatives, and has been collaborating on the Social and Technical Assessment of Retrofit (STAR) project since 2023, with the goal of ensuring that EnviroCentre's Deep Retrofit Accelerator initiative enhances both energy efficiency and occupant well-being, addressing both technical and social dimensions of retrofits. This project also aims to address energy poverty through retrofitting by addressing the root causes of high energy consumption which can lower energy bills, cut down emissions and enhance the comfort, health and well being of residents. This project will also advance sustainable and socially conscious building practices. Jorge's career trajectory is marked by a commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation in sustainable practices.
