Alyssa Scanga (she/they) is a disabled graduate student in the MA Sustainability Studies program at Trent University. Her work focuses on climate mitigation and adaptation efforts in buildings through a Disability Justice lens, with a particular focus on extreme heat. They have a BSc in Environmental and Resource Science (Climate Change Science and Policy Specialization) from Trent University, are a LEED Green Associate, and are a long-time climate justice advocate and community organizer.
