Nik is a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in Canada’s energy sector. He currently leads CLEAResult Canada’s Indigenous and Remote Communities team, working to improve housing conditions and reduce energy costs for underserved communities across Canada. Nik brings broad public sector experience, having served as Director of Energy Efficiency at Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and held federal roles with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and Infrastructure Canada. He holds a Master of Applied Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queen’s University. A member of the Métis Nation of Ontario with mixed settler ancestry, Nik splits his time between Toronto and Northwestern Ontario as a means to reset, recharge and reconnect with family and nature.
