Ashqua Shaikh is the Community Engagement Lead at Brighton & Hove Energy Services Co-operative (BHESCo), a UK community energy cooperative. She leads the Ofgem-funded Just Transition Programme, developing a replicable and scalable model to deliver rooftop solar and battery storage to fuel-poor households across three communities in Sussex. Working with trusted local community organisations and councils, the programme aims to reach households that markets and top-down programmes consistently fail to serve.
