Speaker Bio
Seth Oldham is BC Hydro's Program Manager for energy efficiency programs that support First Nations and Indigenous organizations in reducing energy costs, improving building performance, and advancing climate action goals. Seth has worked directly with First Nations and Indigenous organizations in British Columbia and the Northwest Territories for more than 15 years. Since 2019, his work has focused on designing, delivering, and managing energy efficiency and demand-side management programs for Indigenous governing bodies. In June 2025, after more than two years of development, BC Hydro, FortisBC and the Province of British Columbia launched the Partners in Indigenous Energy Efficiency and Resilience (PIEER) program. PIEER is a one-window program approach that builds on the partners’ previous offers with new incentives, funding options, energy coaching, and enabling supports for Indigenous-led energy efficiency and climate action projects. Its new features were directly shaped by Indigenous perspectives and feedback on previous program offers.
