Karen Gorecki is Director, Utility Demand-Side Policy at Efficiency Canada, where she leads national policy work on utility demand-side management and demand flexibility. She brings nearly 20 years of experience working with utilities and governments on energy efficiency, demand response, regulatory policy, and decarbonization. Previously, Karen was a Senior Manager Decarbonization at KPMG and Director of Policy Outreach at Energy Efficiency Alberta, where she led work on DSM policy, regulatory engagement, and non-wires alternatives. She brings a combination of technical, policy, and practical utility-sector experience to advancing more clean, affordable and flexible energy systems.
