With a keen interest in making the energy transition a just one, Meabh spent a decade and a half advocating on behalf of the renewable electricity sector in Northern Ireland before transitioning to lead the development of a new Energy Strategy for Northern Ireland at the Department for the Economy and a fuel poverty strategy at the Department for Communities. Prior to this she worked overseas, teaching in China and working for marginalised and excluded communities on behalf of Trocaire and its partners in Brazil and Southeast Asia. She has recently transitioned again to a new role focusing on social value in procurement.
