NURS1113: The Art of Nursing: Humanizing Healthcare, an innovative, Online Consortium of Oklahoma (OCO) Open Educational Resource (OER) course and textbook that challenges the traditional nursing pedagogy by incorporating the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), Skill of Involvement (SOI), and AI-driven reflective journaling. Students explore nursing concepts through the humanities using AI to create digital reflection artifacts that demonstrate their understanding of the concepts while preparing them to provide individualized patient-centered care in an increasingly technological environment.
