Dr. Hébert is a full-time faculty member at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) in Okmulgee, OK, where he teaches physics and mathematics, sits on the Academic Appeals Committee, serves on the Faculty Staff Counsel, has been twice nominated as Outstanding Faculty of the Year, and received the 2024 OSUIT Regents Distinguished Teaching Award.
Dr, Hébert received undergraduate degrees of A.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Technology, and a B.Sc. in Physics from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. He did graduate work at the University of Texas at Dallas where he completed a terminal M.Sc. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Physics.

He recently participated in the redevelopment of the OSUIT campus orientation program as part of the national Complete College America initiative, collaborated with the OSUIT Office of Workforce Development to develop and deploy a program training students to become Certified Fiber Optics Technicians (CFOT), in which he also served as an instructor, and most recently has joined the OSUIT to OSU-STW Engineering Technologies Pathway group as part of the OSU Polytech Initiative.
