Join us for the 2027 Oklahoma Higher Education IT Summit, the state's premier professional development and networking event for IT professionals in higher education. Sponsored by the OSRHE Council on Information Technology (CoIT), the Summit brings together technical professionals, managers, and technology leaders from public and private colleges and universities across Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Higher Education IT Summit provides an opportunity for higher education professionals to connect, collaborate, and share ideas, strategies, and real-world solutions to the technology challenges and opportunities facing institutions today.

Sessions will explore timely topics impacting higher education technology, including emerging technologies, cybersecurity, data and AI, infrastructure, enterprise systems, digital transformation, student and institutional support, IT leadership, and more. Attendees will hear practical examples, lessons learned, and innovative approaches from colleagues and technology leaders across the higher education community.

Council on Information Technology

The Council on Information Technology considers technology and related issues affecting Oklahoma higher education, proposes technology and related policy and procedures and serves as the principal statewide advisory council rendering advice and counsel to the Chancellor of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, other advisory groups and the entire state system in the review of current and recommended technology and related policy and procedures. 

The council also serves as a forum for IT officers to collaborate and partner on contracts, reports and studies focused on achieving efficiencies, and planning for emerging technologies. Membership comprises the principal IT officers from each institutional campus and higher education center (as appropriate) in the state system.
